About Jose
Jose is a Senior Registered Psychologist with over 15 years of experience in diverse mental health settings across Australia and Central America. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology, completed overseas in Central America, and has completed postgraduate studies in psychotherapy with a Gestalt and Jungian approach. Being trained in Central America, Jose is fluent in Spanish and provides therapeutic services in English and Spanish.
Guided by values of empathy and respect, Jose creates a safe and supportive environment. He listens deeply, helps clients feel understood, and gently challenges unhelpful beliefs — supporting personal growth, resilience, and wellbeing.
Outside of work, Jose is a young father who enjoys mountain biking, camping, four-wheel driving, and exploring the outdoors with his family.
Areas of Focus
Adults: Supporting people experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, or challenges during life transitions.
Children & Adolescents (10 years and above): Helping young people build emotional regulation, self-esteem, manage anxiety or behavioural concerns, and address learning or educational challenges. Drawing on his experience as an educational psychologist in school settings, Jose brings practical insight into learning, development, and family dynamics, helping clients and families apply strategies and insights in real-life contexts.
Younger Children (10 years and below): Collaborating with parents to support behavioural management, based on expertise in neuro-developmental psychology.
